Each participant is provided with a 16 x 20 stretched canvas, creating a substantial, gallery-style foundation for their work. The session centers around a selected Arabic word or phrase, carefully chosen for its depth and meaning.

You will be guided step-by-step through the process of writing the calligraphy, learning the flow, structure, and beauty of each letter, before transitioning into the painting phase. Layers of color and subtle detailing are added with intention, allowing the piece to unfold slowly and thoughtfully.

The atmosphere is calm and grounding, encouraging you to slow down, be present, and engage with the process in a way that feels both therapeutic and restorative.

No prior experience is needed. Every element is guided, yet there is space for personal expression within the composition.

About the Artist

Hina Chaudhry is a Houston-based mixed media artist specializing in contemporary Arabic calligraphy. Her work explores the intersection of language, texture, and spiritual reflection, often drawing on sacred words and geometric form to create pieces that feel both grounded and expansive.

With over a decade of artistic practice and participation in more than 100 exhibitions, her work is held in private collections and presented in community and cultural spaces worldwide.

In addition to her studio practice, Hina facilitates curated calligraphy experiences for corporate and community settings, creating environments that feel both engaging and intentional. Her approach blends artistic guidance with cultural context, allowing participants to connect with the language in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
